Avilla Elementary School

Reading Buddies

Volunteers from Avilla Calvary and the surrounding community commit an hour or two each week September-April to listening to Avilla Elementary School children read.  Volunteers build relationships with the children while helping them to improve their confidence and reading skills.  All volunteers must complete a background check once every two years.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the church at 260-897-3190.

Underwear and Sweatpants

We do periodic drives to keep the school supplied in underwear and sweatpants for children who have accidents or tear their clothing while at school.

Adopt-A-Teacher

This year we have adopted the nine teachers who are new to Avilla Elementary School this year.  We are committed to praying for them and helping them out with some items on their wish lists.
