Rev. Shalimar Holderly first sensed a call to ministry when she was a very young child while listening to and observing her pastor at the Reynolds United Methodist Church in Reynolds, Indiana. Throughout Junior High and High School, this sense of call became so strong that it could no longer be ignored. After graduating from Frontier High School in 1997, Pastor Shalimar attended the University of Indianapolis where she graduated with a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy with a Pre-Theology concentration. She then went on to complete her Master of Divinity degree at Duke University Divinity School in 2004.
Pastor Shalimar was commissioned for ministry by the North Indiana Conference United Methodist Church upon graduating from seminary in 2004 and was ordained a Full Elder three years later in June of 2007.
Pastor Shalimar's greatest passions in ministry include teaching, preaching, worship design, missions, and children's ministry.
Outside of her work in the church, Pastor Shalimar enjoys working with animals, spending time in nature, traveling, hiking, bicycling, reading, loving on her two nephews, and creating works of art on the pottery wheel.
